Amber Hybrid beer
Birra dal colore ramato o marrone scuro, simile alle British Pale Ale ma che differisce per l'uso di malti e luppoli, oltre che per le temperature di fermentazione, in questo caso più basse. Ha spesso un sapore di malto, aspro e secco.
La versione classica delle Altbier è ramata, molto limpida e marcatamente amara.
